Deadlands plot point to be released this week!

Post by tylermo »

Attention Savage Worlds, and Deadlands fans. A plot point has been released for SW's, Deadlands Reloaded. The Flood, will cover the year 1879. Adventures in the classic Deadlands game covered the years of 1876-78, I believe. The new book continues the timeline so to speak. The book was co-authored by Deadlands/Savage Worlds creator, Shane Hensley, and a guy who has ties to C&C/Gary Gygax, Matthew Cutter. He edited the Castle Zagyg:Yggsburgh book. I can't wait to receive my copy of The Flood. I first became aware of Deadlands in 1998. Didn't get around to playing until 1999, or perhaps 2000. The original system was a lot of fun. Classic DL's system had a little more flavor, and a lot more crunch than Deadlands Reloaded. That said, I like having less crunch, and seemingly quicker combats with Reloaded. Should be a great book for DL officionados!

Danger Dwarf, I understand your concern about the wait. Seemingly, the Deadlands Reloaded book came out in 06 or 07(?) Apparently, Shane Hensley had somebody working on the draft for the plotpoint awhile back. The guy did a good job, but the plot point end of things wasn't working(not speaking for Shane-don't quote me). In the end, Matthew Cutter came onboard at some point(last year?), and at long last, we have our book. Another one is proposed for next year(?) Check out peginc.com forums for more info. I'm excited too.
