I'm in the "where is my stuff and why did I pay $15 if you can't ship it" column. I've emailed them (no response) but I may have to give their contact information a try to see if I can rattle a cage or three.

Thanks.

I don't mean to be hard on a small company, and I;'ve heard nothing but good things about the products themselves, in all fairness.

Yeah, I'm sure it's probably just a bad example, and I would doubt the norm. It could be any number of things. On the other hand, I'm hoping they're doing all they can to take care of their customers.

Good luck, hoss!

I mentioned in another thread I had a bad experience ordering from GR directly. When trying to resolve your order issues, do NOT rely on emails. I emailed Nicole Lindroos several times and never received a response. What really irked me was I sent her a PM via their forums and, as such, was able to tell she read it and still had no response.

The point is, if you want action you have to call them at 206-725-2839. Once you do so, you'll likely get your order.

It's a shame, because they make great stuff. I'm certainly willing to buy GR stuff in the future, but never from them directly.

Got an email response to my first info request today. Appears that they are checking with the warehouse to find out what's going on. I'll call tomorrow if I don't get a tracking number.

Looks like mine showed up today. Guess I was just not patient enough. Have to check the box when I get home but it's the only UPS thing I had on the way (AFAIK).

Yup, all better now. It looks like their warehouse is just way behind the curve as far as shipping things out (once they get them out the door, they arrive pretty quickly).

Speaking of things arriving... not only did my Chaosium Thieves World box set came in but my RMX Screen I ordered at the beginning of March did too! Both on the same day!

My order finally showed up. It appears that GR supplies us through Alliance Distributors? That alone can explain the long delivery time. Alliance sucks. Then again so do most of the distributors.

Yes, they go through Alliance. Their rep is an ass, and coming from me, that says something.

Oh yeah!

Mine showed up too.

In all fairness, I really waited too long to contact them about it.

LD, I emailed Nicole per your post of their contact info, that was the 16th, and she replied WITHIN AN HOUR and it shipped the 17th, I received it on the 19th.

So the shippment was fast (hooray for UPS) and Nicole's customer service was great and I have to give them credit for that. She explained there was some warehouseing snafu where the system said the TW stuff was out of stock.

I still haven't had a reply from the inquiry I left to Green Ronin's "Contact us" form on their website (which would be ironic if that was also Nicole's job)

Also, alliance. weird.

BTW: The Books are SWEET!

Nicole and I have been exchanging some PM's, in one she said something to the effect of, "I don't always respond to e-mails because I am often overloaded and I figure customers would rather I get the problem fixed and their order in the mail rather than spend the time to respond."

I still have the PM's saved if you would like me to give a direct quote.

BTW: I'm quite enamored with the books!

I'm about 2/3 of the way thru the PHB and I love it!

There's a cool "new" magic system that seems workable but so different (and yet familiar) and i Think overall, they translate the books well. the Survior and redone ranger classes are quite cool IMO.

I mean, picking up the whole product line for about 1/4 of the cover price is great in itself, but it's not only that, the books really are great.

I'm referring to the Green ronin ones, to be 150% clear.

Sounds pretty cool, Relaxo. How is the ranger redone, if I may ask?

off the top of my head, d8 HD, chooses a 'combat style" that dictates bonus feats (archer, two handed, skirmisher, cavalry... somthing else?) archer gets manyshot, far shot, stuff like that.

um... no spells, multiple favored terrains, where hide, survival etc are +2,

maybe an animal companion?

It was cool, and different from the original 3e ranger which most people didn't like... it was different from C&C ranger too.

I may convert it or just post it here in total copyright violation
I have to get to work or I'd get the book out and add more details

The only reason I asked is because I made a variant ranger, which was basically a conglomeration of different aspects of other classes, with a little seasoning of my own. Here's what it looks like, in case anyone's interested.

Some of those ranger changes came in with 3.5... the d8 HD and the combat styles (although I only recall two styles, archer or two-weapon).

I got all the Thieves' World GR books, and they're worthy, in my opinion. Cool, gritty setting. I have some concerns regarding the variant classes and their relation to each other in terms of rules balance, but this is not a concern if you use C&C instead (which is exactly what I would do).
