Crusader numbering system

Post by jcoggins »

I noticed The Crusader went Vol 1 #1, Vol 1 #2 and then went directly to Vol 2 #1 skipping Vol 1 #3, Vol 1 #4 and Vol 1 #5.

Are the skipped issues already out of print or was the numbering sequence skipped (for some reason) and there are only a total of 5 issues of the magazine released?

There are only 5 Crusaders. Why? No idea, but it doesn't have 5 numbers per "volume." Personally, I hate the whole volume / number thing. It should just be a freaking number or a volume.

Wasn't the Volume to denote the year of release?

Volume I (issues 1 & 2) were released in 2005.

Volume II (issue 3) released in the winter of 2006.

I think the original intent of Crusader was to be a quarterly magazine. That being said... I somehow doubt that issue 6 will be released before 2007.

Maybe they should drop the volume numbers going into the new year.

Hehe, yeah, might be time to lose this system. Subscribers will just be reminded of the painful suffering, waiting for issues!
