If the rest of the 4th Crusade Books are going to look this good, TLG will most defintely infuse some new blood into Castles & Crusades. The color choices were very nice, inparticular with the great new cover art. It's dynamic and striking. The text is bigger, and the layout is by far the best Peter Bradley has done to date. The added artwork (new monster art, and a smattering of other pics throughout the magic section, poison section, and more) is a big, big help to making the interior of this book look a lot less like mass block text.

Customers flipping through this book are going to really dig it I think. The chapter headings are updated and bold and make the book look a lot more "fresh." The old-school, classic style of the C&C books is clearly still there, but this book looks 10X more appealing.

IMO this is the best looking book TLG has put out to date, and that is saying a lot.

Nice job Trolls.

It is a very nice looking book and is well-formatted. I hope the new printing of the PHB looks as good as this book does.

If the final PHB4 looks this good, there are going to be a hell of a lot of excited fans.

I will be buying these, but likely not until after GenCon. Or better yet, life will be crazy good enough for me to buy them AT GenCon. Not likely though, the government would actually have to step up and properly compensate my wife for that to happen. Or I win the Powerball. So, realistically, I have to wait until some time after Gen Con.

Do you know what would be nice? If they abandoned the current StarSeige, cleaned it up and made it more like the other brand... like they are planning to do with PULP!

I heard many C&C fans gripe about the layout, amateurish layout and public school art. The BIGGEST complaint was the dissatisfaction of how far STarSeige strayed from the rules of C&C.

Misclaimer: I do not own StarSeig nor have I've seen it, I am acting as a conduit from what I'vew heard and from not just one person, but many. One quote I heard, It was "I expected much better from TLG, now I just feel like I wasted money I could've spent on something I'd like."

Feel free to argue with me, but it'll be a short one, because I wouldn't have clue what statements would be correct, so knock yourself out.

I have been planning on picking it up, and it does indeed sound good. Now comes the fun part - wrestle with my FLGS or just buy direct.

That's probably what I'll do. I know as soon as I do I'll go to the store and the guy will be waving it in front of me and telling me how he did me the big favor of ordering it for me.

Ah, crud. I'll have to buy this book at some point. Almost forgot about it. Probably not for a few weeks at least. I've been trying to start a new band, and have spent far too much money that I barely have on PA equipment. Hopefully, it will happen in June or July for both books.

I'm waiting on some store cred at Noble Knight Games. I'll likely pick it up from there once they get it in.

Glad to hear this. Unfortunately, I have decided to wait for the box set that will feature the four books together, so I won't see it before next year...

I've been on a little bit of a spending spree lately and have used up all of my RPG money for a couple of months, so I have to wait. Maybe at the end of the summer? But I'm glad to hear the layout and art is fantastic.

Some time after 30 days and before the end of eternity. Unfortunately I only hope I am joking. They may actually take longer than 30 days with the rule books, I just know that 30 days is the supposed rule for CRUSADER PDF's. (Hint, hint, Steve)

I feel you there, sir. I've found a few good deals lately that I was reluctant to pass on, and now I need to scrape together the fundage to buy M&T and the Black Libram. But these are necessary purchases, IMHO (especially M&T).

I'm waiting for at least one other hardback to be released from the '4th Crusade' before I place my order. Trying to make it worth the shipping costs.

I could push my LGS to order but it might be easier to do if the new PHB was out too. Which brings up a question -- which is the next book due out? Is it the PHB or is it the Gods & Monsters book?

As much as I really want the Gods & Monsters book, it might be easier to get the store to stock in the new M&Ts if the new PHBs are also available.

Whichever one I get done first most like. The PHB is leading the race at the moment.

With the awesome coolness of M&T3, why not PHB4?!?!? Although G&M looks to be awesome to.
