Hi,
First, I have to say that I am knew as much on the forum that I am at this game. Second thing, I am not English so maybe youll have some difficulties to understand me, but Ill try to be the more clear and precise as possible.
Well, I just have a little problem with the rules about how the movement is supposed to be. For example, if I want to strike in the same round, I know that I can only do it if I moved up to half of my normal rate. So if I am a Human fighter (30 feet), I can walk 15 feet and still have time to slash with my sword. My question is, if I do it while I am jogging (twice de normal rate), can I do 30 feet and attack, or if the baseline is still stock at 30 feet so I can just attack if I did not do more than 15 feet. If it doesnt, so why should we walk? Why just not always jogging or running?
Thinks for answer my questions !
jogging and running

A person cannot always run or jog.
But, to be more precise -- any movement above the walk rate is considered a charge, so you may not want to always take the penalty for such actions (-2 AC) and may end up being hit harder than you wanted due to something like a pike being set against you.

Running can be done even less than jogging. Can you run everywhere, all day long, without stopping? It is about practicality and a hint of realism. Neither running nor jogging can be done at every single opportunity, and neither is always practical.
Here, so you understand it ---
Jogging is more like a march.
Running is for racing.
You can do either in a combat, and they only let you move more distance. Why run when you can jog, you ask? Well, maybe you don't need to go 150 feet -- maybe you only need to go 70.

If I'm understanding the rules correctly, you are correct doomed_bishop. There are no rules for a difference between jogging and running in combat. The answer you got is pretty much the rule - anything more than a walk is a charge, and a charge is -2 AC. I think a lot of it will come down to the situation - if the enemy is not far, you can "visualize" your character jogging (which is a charge) but if he is a good distance, a run to reach him might be in order (also a charge). So yes, some of it comes down to roleplay.
