Elemental Moon, by Necromancer Games

Post by Treebore »

Several years ago my 14 year old daughter was contracted to do art for 2 modules by Necromancer Games. One was never published, since it was the first of a trilogy, and Necro decided not to even start publishing it due to the 4E announcement.

Elemental Moon was published, and we finally got a copy of it. Its very cool to go through something that has art done by your own daughter. Not to mention seeing her name under the "Interior Art" credit.

She is a bit embarrassed, because her art has improved a lot over the 3 years since. Still, we now have a copy of her published work.

Its a very cool feeling.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

It's good art, especially the smaller pieces depicting the monsters. Had to double check, but there a reason she inverted her initials for the image on page 60, or is that how she signs it?

It's good she's been improving it. And heck its something to always be proud of.

Yes, her "artist" signature is MMR on purpose. Something about the "signature flow" from R to M didn't work very well, but going from M's to R do, so her art signature is the MMR as you see it on that page.

Cool, Treebore! Just out of curiosity, why are you only mentioning this now?

Tree - is there any way to see some of her art? Can you point me in the right direction?

Because Necromancer never sent her a comp copy, and we never bought one until now. So this was my/her first time actually seeing it in print on paper. In fact, the only PDF copy she has of this module is the "rough" Lance Havermale sent her, we never saw a finished version until now.

Other than buying the PDF or module? No. The computer on which we had all the files crashed. We still have it, but we have never had it mirrored.
