Woodbridge, VA - Ready to make the leap... I think.

Post by Calico_Jack73 »

I am very tired of D&D 3.XE and have been pointed at C&C as a system that has the old 1e AD&D feel. I haven't purchased the books yet and I am brand new to this board. I'd like to find an existing group to try C&C out before I go out and buy the books. My library is full of systems that I thought looked good and then I couldn't find a group to play with or my current group didn't want to try it. If there is a group with an open slot near Woodbridge VA please let me know.

Welcome, and good luck finding a VA group; though I think if you...dare I say..."Troll around" here you'll find a few online games that might work too.

Hehe, no Treebore posts everywhere. Me, I'm just a roaming ambassador of C&C goodwill and welcome. Lots of members/posters here did the same when I joined the old TLG forums.

I don't post everywhere! Much. I hardly ever post in the LA Essentials or R. Kuntz's forums. Plus I haven't figured out how to sneak into the CKG forum either.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Just kidding with ya, Tree!
angelius is probably right, though. I wander around these forums like I would if I'm at a party . . . drinking, knocking things over and breaking them and nonsensically babbling about my favorite game!
As for the CKG forum - no interest, just surprise me!

I was taking it "light heartedly". I know I post a lot. I'm retired, have a fair amount of time on my hands despite the animals, so I have the time to post a lot.

Well that, and you're a very knowledgeable CK and contributor, so keep 'em coming.
Now, let me just quickly apologive to Calico_Jack for some serious thread-jacking.
Sorry dude, hopefully we haven't scared you away! 14

Jack,

I highly recommend the online gaming. It is great for when you just can't get together f-t-f.

There are several campaigns going on right now. Check out the logs and you will see some of the excitement that has been taking place.

Let us know how it goes for you.

Just curious if you ever found a C&C group in the NoVa area? I'm pretty much in the same position you were (tired of the 3e game), so your experiences certainly would provide some insight for me. For the record, I'm in Herndon.

Thanks.
