Small dungeon map
Here's a map to a dungeon level I'm working on. The pic has the nice background the pdf is a printable battlemap format. It's going to be used in Noises from the Shadows.
Enjoy.
Download the pdf to print and tape together. The pdf is 3 MB.

Now to gussy up the rest of the adventure and post away. The battlemap pdf is set for 1" squares so you can use your minis/counters etc. Anyone who wants it in jpg or gif format for online gaming, just give me a pm.

I cheated. Once upon a time there was a program (and no this isn't a fairy tale) called Gridsmith. It predated Dundjinni but was somewhat more limited in it's functionality. Although it was a little more kludgy some of the art tiles were fantastic. Sadly the program is no longer sold but there is still a semi-loyal following on a Yahoo group that still has tiles available.

Do you mean the pic in the post, or the full PDF? When viewed in Adobe, it looks like 6 pages of 8.5X11, so it seems like a nice size!

Oh no, I'm sorry i should clarify.
I say the dungeon is small because it appears that the squares are 5' x 5'. If that is the case, this is a very small complex. Not that that is a problem, because it does look awesome.

The map is small in encounter size. It's really only 4 rooms. I think my design philosophy is somewhat limited because I've been doing online gaming (virtual tabletop) for the last few years. Sprawling dungeon-crawls, when transferred to the virtual-tabletop, are harder to display and manage for me at least.
I think another thing that adds to my smaller dungeons is my sessions usually run 3.5 to 4 hours and smaller, focused encounters can be run in that timeslot giving players a sense of accomplishment.
This map is part of a ruined tower type encounter. The mapped areas include:
1 - The tower approach (4 encounter areas)
2 - The tower interior (3 rooms)
3 - The basement ( 3 rooms)
4 - dungeon/cave lvl 1 (the map I posted 4 rooms)
5 - dungeon/cave lvl 2 ( 6 rooms)
This is obviously the primary location used in the adventure so 18 keyed areas seems about right. Three other locations will be detailed in the adventure.
These are just my first assumptions so the numbers may change after play-testing and some tweaking.

Ahh yes the ease of starting websites (it's the content part that's hard:) ).
- Fudge Forum was created because somebody asked me to do it. It's moderated by Capybara and I come in if there are problems. Fudge to me was neat but too much work. Personal tastes not withstanding but I can't find a darn group locally to try it.
- Natural Twenty - that one is going to be dedicated to running online games. I'm working with a developer friend to create a scheduling software and virtual con program to allow online gamers (virtual tabletop) to get together, give hints at online gaming, and supply resources.
Subsites of Natural Twenty
The Taern page will be moved ( www.naturaltwenty.com/taern ) to it's own site.
In Media Res, a Mutant's & Masterminds site ( www.naturaltwenty.com/inmediares ) I'm going to move this one off as well. I've got all the characters done, about 15-20 villains and some other material I've got to post.
- d6forums - I had some free credits for web-hosting and got a review copy of some of the d6 stuff. After playing once and running a game I couldn't make the system do what I wanted. Not that it can't I just had too many irons in the fire. I'll let it lapse and put a redirect to somewhere. It's where Noises from the Dark and All the Lords Men (the two C&C adventures I'm putting together) got part of their start.
- what if games ( www.whatifgames.net ) - This one may be the imprint for anything that I actually produce for sale, or I'll give it to my son because he's got the itch to create something...although he's more of a BESM/Tri-Stat/HERO point-based builder.
12 Colonies - ( www.twelvecolonies.com ) a site that's going to be dedicated to a Hard Nova 2.
I know there are others out there but my wife is yelling at me because I'm on the computer too much...so it's not sleep I'm missing
