As i try and recover from the weekend and the months of planning beforehand, i wanted to take a moment to thank everyone involved in making Troll Con VII a huge success.
There are always so many people who help make an event like this happen. Almost too many to remember. But i would like to personally thank some people for helping out.
Jay at Imagine Hobbies & Games for the prize support for our raffle give away.
Matt at Kapow Comics in Sherwood for supporting TC.
Scott with Perilous Games out of Carbondale IL for being our retail game vendor for TC.
Mitch Brietweiser for taking time out of his busy schedule to come out and supporting us.
Tracy Wilson with the 501st Star Garrison for supporting all our efforts. And for playing in my Star Trek game.
Ryan Tucker from The Realm of Fauldenfell, A Chapter of Dagorhir Battle Games for coming out and giving demos on their battle re-enactments.
And of course all the Trolls including our Guest of Honor Jim Ward for running several games of C&C that were the highlight of the show.
I take pride in putting together and running the best event possible, and i think this year we really outdid ourselves. Thanks to all my Game Masters and everyone who attended this year and i truly hope that you have a great time.
Steve and I will be meeting in the coming weeks to do a followup on Troll Con and we're already committed to expanding Troll Con for 2010 to a larger venue with even more events. So thank you to everyone, and we'll see you next year.
TLG will be at Gen Con next month. Look for us at booth 221.
Thanks,

As I mentioned elsewhere, the limited space and resultant noise were the only real negatives. Not terribly much food within easy walking distance (just the Krispy Kreme and Burger Mama's?) but lots of places delivered to the hotel. (That's something that I suspect becomes a bigger issue if you get more folks flying in.) The complimentary breakfast helped out with that a lot.
Speaking of flying, Little Rock is well-serviced by Southwest which is a real boon for a lot of folks (and makes it really easy to reach from the Northeast & mid-Atlantic). Driving to and from the airport was pretty straightforward, and rental cars were pretty cheap.

Wish I was able to make it this year, but alas. I look to return and see everyone again next summer.
Glad everyone had a blast!

The venue may need to change for next year, but that's for another meeting in a couple of weeks. Right now all eyes are on Gen Con.
