There is a GenCon thread down in the convention forum (very bottom of the forum listings)

There will be a fair amount going for sure.

Since I posted in the other forum I won't bother to say that I'm going to be in attendance at GenCon.

I would have gone this year but events occurred that took away my vacation time early, and so I cannot afford (if I want to continue to work) to go. Alas and a shame, but it would be good to get together...

Perhaps next year. Origins is closer and more likely, but I don't know yet. Much life to get in the way.

Oh well.

Again, enjoy all you con goers.

I went, picked up Jim's Tarnished Lands and am now devouring its contents.

It was nice to stop by the TLG booth and run into some familiar names lurking there, but too bad that the 4th Crusade PH hardback wasn't ready yet.

The TLG homepage mentions something about a "Gen Con Edition" of the PH... is that just the softbound version?

I believe so, yes. The Trolls were actually very unhappy that they were unable to get hardback PH's in time for the convention. The only book in hardback was M&T.

A shame because I had planned on buying "the set" of PH, CKG, MM, and the Gods book in nifty green hardback all at once time if they were there. Not that I need many more rulebooks. I have multiple copies of various printings of the PH and M&T.

Oh, and I also put in another plea for t-shirts. Going to game conventions just reinforces the fact in my mind that wearing t-shirts as you wander the vendor area is great advertisement. (Well, the hot babe at the Champions Online booth was good advertisement, too.)

I'l love to have basic white or cream or maybe even new-edition-green with a big ol' classic C&C logo like I have in my signature. Or maybe even one with the new C&C Society logo, which is pretty sweet as well!

Actually, I'd rather have this one one a t-shirt rather than the square one in my signature.

I think the GenCon PHB also says (on the back) "Printed August 2009'" or something to that effect. That's in addition to the big coat of arms in the front and the color plates.
