I'm looking to get into the C&C default setting, but i don't know what the best source of material is.
What should i get to best learn about the setting?

I wholeheartedly agree with John on that one. The folio is kick-ass. Just by itself it is a treasure trove of gaming goodness. I for one am not really impressed easily by game settings, and swore off of them many years ago on grounds that my own settings were more fun. But this one, well, it really connected with me, and I dig it. Do yourself a favor and buy one for yourself and one for your best gaming bud.
