Post by DangerDwarf »

Is there a PDF anywhere of the new character sheet used in the 4th print of the PHB?

There is a new character sheet? Hmm. Cool. Maybe they're going to use it when making the new character pad? If there is a new one.

There is a new character sheet in the PHB1.4 for sure. At GenCon, TLG had character reference sheets in new packaging. Steve mentioned that they were new sheets tailored for the updated classes. I didn't pick up a pack of them, so I can't say for sure they are the same as the one in the PHB1.4. Since TLG hasn't put up on the website that they are selling them, I guess they are not available yet or were GenCon exclusives. Though the packaging was really nice for the GenCon character sheets.

My two cents, I'm more of a fan of a clean look than a retro look. I also never understood why some oldstyle sheets were that yellow color.

GOLDENROD rules. It is the color of of vivid adventure, and the shade of kings.

The buff and / or goldenrod are nostalgia trips. So would pink, blue, or green.

The old, original sheets (i.e., for D&D or AD&D) where that color to prevent photocopying (I think).

It certainly worked. Fortunately on madirishmans goldenrod versions you can turn that layer off.
