Rebuilding My Stash

Post by DangerDwarf »

Last month the hard drive of my desktop when crap and I lost a lot of good stuff. Instead of picking up another desktop, just picked up a pair of netbooks for me and the wife. Today I'm finally getting around to re-downloaded my TLG stash of PDF's and reorganizing them on the little puter here.

Pain in the ass. But, actually having a laptop and making use of it when gaming is kinda proving useful. Methinks I may rethink my dislike of PDF's.

I never realized how many TLG/C&C PDF's I had until today.

Meh.

What did you wind up getting? I've been tempted, but haven't found one with a keyboard that didn't drive me crazy.

I feel your pain, When my comp crashed in June I was forced to discover I had several HUNDRED PDF's. I have DLed maybe 100 of them so far.

I have been reluctant to go full out on re DLing them because I know I backed up my files a year or so ago. Unfortunately I put them in such a "safe" place I have yet to find them again.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Just a couple of cheap Acers. Nothing fancy, but serve our purposes well. The smaller keyoards are a pain in the ass to get used to but you do eventually adjust.

I was given a Dell Mini 10V as a gift, but it has yet to have any RPG PDFs placed on it. For the most part those are on my phone.

My Role Playing PDF collection is backed up on a DVD, though I'm always acquiring new stuff, such as a copy of Tri-Stat Silver Age Sentinels.
