Precanned Adventure Recomendation

I am starting a second group up on November 1st and I need a good, involved adventure to run them through. There are a couple of qualifiers;

1] Fantasy please

2] Not just a dungeon delve, I hate dungeon delves.

3] The kind of adventure that could bring a diverse group together.

4] Setting neutral or easily adapted to any setting.

Any ideas lads and lords?

I should point out that it doesn't have to be C&C specific.

Also something more eastern or even middle eastern or easily adapted to that type of setting would be great

What level? Here are some that are Old School TSR modules that come off the top of my head... There are more, but here is a start. May be tough to find, anyone know if WotC still has the PDF's of the old stuff on sale anywere? I'll check some of my TLG stuff and other d20 (mostly DCC, so who knows) when I get home.

Those listed with a # sign next to the series letter, I just don't have a clue as to the module number.

1st-3rd level -

Old school 1st Ed.

N1 - Against the cult of the Reptile God

U1-3 The Saltmarsh series

Original/Basic D&D

B# - Journey to the Rock

3rd-10th level

Expert/Basic D&D

X1 - Isle of Dread

X# - Master of the Desert Nomads

X# - The Savage Coast (you will have to adapt to your world though)

1st Ed.

I3-5 Pharaoh, The Oasis of White Palm, and The Lost of of Marek (not sure on that name of the 3rd module)

?I8? - Day of Al'Akbar (I know it is I series, either 7, 8, or 9)

Oh, and a note on the Saltmarsh series... It will ultimately test your players roleplaying and deductive reasoning abilities. Just make sure you read and fully understand all three modules, take notes for yourself, etc. so you can make sure all of the foreshadowing is in place so the players don't feel cheated in the end. When I was run through this series the DM left out many clues, some of which we had directly been looking for through some of the questions asked. I had quite a few of my own notes when I, some years later, ran a different group through the series.

I know this is a module series, but it is one of my favorites. U1 especially has a soft spot in my heart, and I have used it, in one of many of my own interpretations, as one of as set of possible first adventures to the kick off a few campaigns. Unfortunately the players only bit a couple of times. As a series, I did start a complete campaign using all three as layed out, but that is a tale for another day...

I'll second N1 Against the Cult of the Reptile God, but T1 would be good also. Granted, the "meat" is in a dungeon, but not all the action takes place in there. In both, there's a lot of adventuring opportunity in town. Little something for everyone (especially in T1) so should hit the diversity pretty well, IMHO. X1 is also good, but to me it haas a distince feel - and if you're not in that kind of mood it may not be enjoyable. *shrug*

The C&C A series is actually pretty good for this as well, to convert it to oriental flavor just means change the names and building descriptions to oriental names and designs, which is easy to do if your big into oriental stuff anyways.

Plus A1 in particular will integrate extremely well with several of the previously mentioned ideas.

But, seriously, TSR did all this stuff for 2nd edition... not hard to find it, if you want to.

you might also check out TSR's L2: the Assassin's Knot.

A great intrigue adventure involving assassins in a small community. I can't wait to use this one in my own campaign. Technically a sequel to L1: Secret of Bone Hill, but I've never felt obliged to use the two together.
