Your favorite god -or goddess
I was just laying back, feeling sorry for myself because I'm still suffering from the flu, when I thought about how I was now ready to try anything: jedi mind tricks, sith powers, worshiping other gods, or etcetera to get over this malady.
Then I realized I'd have to bow to science, and just suffer through this.
Then I thought more about how cool it would be to be a god, and violla: this topic materialized!
Sooo then, what's your favorte deity?
(Can be from any source, but try to stick to rpg material)

So, you revere and worship at the shroud of Peter? How unfortunate, but nice for him. Or, is that Him? I don't understand the tenets of your obscure religion.
My favorite god is none. I'm an apathist.

For me this is a difficult questions as I have written about a few gods and goddesses in my time. Instantly I think of Thor. He's one of the greatest fighters of all time, he picks on foes much bigger than himself. He has a way cool hammer. What's not to like. However, Isis is one of the greatest beauties of the age, she loves fooling with magic in ann its forms. She's unusually faithful and loves to have sex every time the sun sets. Sorry Thor.

Thor was the first god that popped into my head... seems he's quite popular.
I'm also a big fan of St. Cuthbert of the Cudgel. Gotta love smiting evil in the name of Cuthbert!

St. Cuthbert was such a fun god to demonize in my Greyhawk campaign. His followers were quite fanatic, searching out every perceived sin and ruling cities with many anti-heretic laws, etc.
Of his priesthood orders:
"The Stars wear dark green robes...[and] seek to retain doctrinal purity amongst the faithful. Stars are reputed to be able to read minds." -Greyhawk Boxed set.

my favorite deity is Ksarul, Lord of the Blue Room (Tekumel).
In more standard fantasy it would be Thoth, I think.
As for hot goddesses, i imagine they'd all be pretty good .... but I'd take Isis. I don't think I could handle Dlamelish.

Ohgma. The Celtic pantheon has always been my favorite. Mostly because they seem such a contradiction to me.
The Norse is a "spooning" close second though. With Thor and Tyr leading the way for me.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I'd have to say Crom, or Tharizdun. Big difference, I know.

No he doesn't. I'd apologize to him, but he don't like that either, I reckon.

Sooo then, what's your favorte deity?
I have to say there is only one. The Most High...Yahweh...Tetragrammaton...Elohim...whatever you call it, it's still only One.
As for imaginary deities, or mythological figures, I find these simple aspects of specific concepts, fertility, war, agriculture, lightning, streams & oceans, magic, etc. for me they do not really portray themselves as gods but rather spiritual personifications of mankinds concepts.
That being said my favorite is St Cuthbert. Historical roots, classic medieval religion...whats not to like?
Loki was an all time favorite of mine growing up.
My all time favorite goddess is Megan Fox. my second all time favorite is Ishtar/Artemis/Diana, whatever you wish to call her. I mean what can go wrong with multiple boobies and temple prostitutes?
Mithra has intriging elements and similarities with Christianity.
My least favorite that I have just recently dealt with...
Rao...I mean wtf?
He is a lawful good god that supports warrior classes and paladins? Yet his entire makeup is that of a peaceloving pacifist. It all reeks of leftist gobbligoop and hypocrisy to me.
Pholtus sucks too. Anyone that competes with Cuthbert sucks.
The Cult of Peter has been around for many many centuries across the globe. In asia they carve peter figurines to this day and lay them out as offerings. Peter symbols are found all over and standing stones may have served as symbols of peter, as do maypoles and christmas trees.
I understand that many still bow before Peter. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I just have a tendency toward the Artemis types.
