anyone know of free map that would fit the bill? Looking for something two stories plus basement.

Hmmm, here is a real-world map for you... The house of the greatest American, George Washington, Mount Vernon... It is three levels, so you can use all three, or drop the third floor, and a basement. There are elevation drawings as well on this site.

ProFantasy (maker of Campaign Cartographer) has a library chock full of user-submitted maps, including several manors, keeps etc. If you don't have CC you can download a free viewer which allows you to view and print the map files.

I believe those are the "Teeth of Delvar 'Nar" in the 1E DMG.
