I think the Crusader is an appropriate vehicle for helping to glue the various worlds together, highlighting similarities and points of connection between Airdhe, Haunted Highlands, Tainted Lands, and between game mechanics (An article on how to leverage your Castles and Crusades know-how to quickly get a StarSIEGE game going would be great.)
I appreciate the little roast at the end written by an anonymous Troll Lord each issue. I like to know a bit about the people making the game happen and what inspires and frustrates them.
Because, frankly, I buy what Troll Lord sells not just because it's a good product; I have lots of good roleplaying products, many of which give me about the same tabletop experience. It's because the people running the show, and the community around the games have some great stories to back up their opinions on gaming, some of which I share and some of which I enthusiastically and happily disagree.
I appreciate the Airdhe setting, because it came from the table of real gamers, who had their own Bigbys and Mordenkainens in the making, and I'd like to build on that, especially while the world is still alive and growing. I think this is one of TLG's strengths, in a way, it feels like we've all played at the same table (and with all of these cozy cons, I guess a lot of people have.)
I appreciate the articles from gamers from the Old Days, though I'd rather see only one such per issue. Too many articles on writing and selling RPGs makes me wonder; are you trying to give birth to some competition?
I don't mind seeing articles on other games and settings. I strongly prefer that they are games and settings that support SIEGE.
I think I am missing a lot of potential articles that are getting eaten by the CKG. Once that's out, I'd love to see more in that arena; house ruling, adjudicating strange mechanics, even excerpts or commentaries on posts from the Keepers forum.
