Where my family is staying for Troll Con VIII.....
http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/l ... ttle-rock/
We got it via Priceline for 65/night + taxes, these are SUITES! Meaning they have a kitchenette area, couches/living room are, pool, etc....
Normal price is $160/night.
This is only a few blocks down the SAME road (S. Shackleford) from the convention site hotel.
Anyone who wants to make offers to stay on our couches (we got two rooms since there are 5 of us) let me know. We believe they are fold out couches.
This map shows where the convention is:
http://www.crowneplazalittlerock.com/directions.php
We are about 2 miles South of that "tac" on S. Shackleford.
Its a roll of the dice, but if you want to try and get it, or maybe end up with the Convention site, go to Priceline, enter that you want a 3 star hotel in area 4 (West side of Little Rock), and offer $65 on your credit card of choice. We hoped we would get the Crowne Plaza because they are actually the cheapest 3 star hotel in area 4, but we got this acceptance first, so had to take it. We are not upset with a kitchenette and a living room area.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Hey, the Mrs. told me tonight that I could go to Troll Con this year. The only problem is can I afford it. If no has call dibs on a couch, I want to reserve one. I'm not sure how I'm getting there, but I'm looking into it.

I'm still trying to go to this. How many couches are available?
I've contacted Coleston (who can't make it) and Mr. Reaper. Some might recall that they drove up to the LGGC with AGNKim a couple of years ago. So I'm hoping I might be able to do the reverse.

My family should arrive on the 21st. Couches are tentatively full, but if anyone cancels ahead of time I'll post about it.

After 20 years I am always smart enough to talk things over with my wife first. She hasn't gotten that smart yet (to talk things over with me first), but I have.

I know Omote is out, I just like bustin his balls. He is going to GenCon and can't take the extra time off for TC. As to staying awake, I got a six pack of 5 hour enery drink. And if I get too sleepy, I'll just pull over and nap. I'll make it in one piece. I have to see the CKG (or a close facsimile) once before I die.
