A combination trap/monster, like the old AD&D Gas Spore. Despite focusing on legendary/folkloric creatures with my own creations, I actually use a lot of giant insects, fungi, oozes, and assorted weird vermin in my Campaigns. Stuff like this is always welcome!

Actually...the gas spore was sort of the inspiration for this, a "not-gas-spore" combined with the wierd plant / fungi shown in "Race for Witch Mountain."
