Two silly spells

Post by ssfsx17 »

ANTS IN THE PANTS, Level 1 illusionist

CT 1

R 400 ft.

D 1 tn./lvl.

SV intelligence negates

SR yes

Comp V, S, M

This spell makes the affected creature feel that there are things crawling on top of and under its skin. This is extremely distracting and causes a penalty of -2 to all rolls. It also forces spellcasters to spend more effort on concentrating while casting spells with somatic components, possibly requiring an intelligence check. The material components for this spell are a seed containing spice and an ant.
BROWN NOTE, Level 2 illusionist

CT 1

R 60 ft.

D n/a

SV constitution negates

SR yes

Comp V, S, M

This spell causes all creatures within sixty feet, of the caster's choosing, to hear a magical sound that has profound effects on their bodies. Affected creatures immediately let out everything in their bowels and bladders, as well as anything else that is typically let out when sensing danger. The material components for this spell are a vial of prune juice and a pinch of plant fiber.

The second spell may have the secondary effect of the Stinking Cloud spell if the number of creatures in the area is quite high

Oh that's funny...I have to make an NPC illusionist now...be back when I'm done tormenting the party.

I'd have fun with this during the obligatory bar scene. The fighter distracts the bouncer, the rogue distracts the bartender, the bard woos the tavern wenches, and my illusionist goes to town.

Then, he produces the clean garments and offers them to the one individual we're supposed to talk to in exchange for certain...information.

If I were inclined to introduce a spellcasting bard, like a jester or something, I could see spells like these being used. Nothing ever wrong with being silly and ridiculous in a game.

If the South Park ever plays C and C, I'm sure Cartman would cast the infamous brown note.

A level 2 Illusionist spell that can kill a person? Gross. Twice.

I could see both spells being very powerful in creative hands.

Imagine gathering a herd of Bonacons (the infamous fire-farting cattle of medieval legend), pointing their backsides towards an enemy, and then letting loose a "Brown Note".

Nasty, on many levels.

I can also see "Ants In The Pants" being re-skinned as "Coke Bugs" for an Urban Fantasy campaign.
