New C&C converts after Cape Comic Con!slight update
It was a long weekend at the Cape Girardeau Comic Con, but well worth it. After 3 C and C demo games, new Trolls have entered the fold. After observing part of a demo game, 3 high schoolers(new to rpg's)bought the phb/m and t flipbook, and A 1-6. The next day, they returned with partially-made characters. They played a demo, and bought part of the C and U series, as well as engineering dungeons. Another 30-something gamer bought almost 100 dollars worth of core books, engineering dungeons, arms and armor, etc. before he played his first demo game. Several other people played, and a Crusader or two were sold as well. Our picture was taken for the paper, but only made their website. Still pretty cool. I'll get the link as soon as i can, as well as pictures I took. Wait till you see what I did to dress up the booth. Well, UPS Store helped. Back with more soon. Here's a link to the news paper's website. Scroll down to the 11th photo semissourian.com/gallery/5520

You're absolutely right. Demo's right next to the sales booth can generate sales, but it's not always a slam dunk. 12-16 people could play in games over two days, and you might only get 3 or 4 sales. I did copy 100 fourth crusade fliers, and gave them to each player w/contact info. Very interested players were given my 5 remaining quick start rules from the Harbinger's Variant set. All in all, at least four players were on fire for the game. The others were definitely interested, and may still seek it out via Crusader, or the website.
