Frank Frazetta Status?

Post by serleran »

So, I keep seeing rumors of his passing but nothing official... has anyone stumbled upon an actual announcement?

Maybe Fight On! can do an art contest in memory of him. The Earl Otus one was awesome and I think it would be a great tribute.

An icon, no doubt. Sir, you will be missed. Perhaps Death Dealer has claimed Frazetta.

I can't overstate how greatly Frazetta's work influenced me. I aspired to be an artist when I was in high school and strove to achieve the style, tone, and raw emotion that emanated from Frazetta's paintings. I've never seen any paintings so full of dramatic tension, that can elicit such a visceral emotional response from me.

This has been a rough week: first Eric Holmes and now Frank Frazetta. I am saddened that a generation of some of the most influential people in my life are passing one by one in just a short span of years.
