Countdown to Puppy Heaven [Good News]

Post by serleran »

It has been nearly 7 years since I have had a little woofer, a baby growler to pet and treat better than a living person (my wife excluded.) But, that is going to change. Next weekend, I get to leave town, drive like 10 hours, and pick up a puppy... and then I get to take him home. Excitement is not even close to accurate.

Beware the midnite minefields!

Enjoy the lil nipper while he's cute and forgivable.

Nice. I've been enjoying the puppy I let my daughter bring home (with the promise to quit smoking ~ almost there) Delilah. She's a Lhasa apso, Poodle and Pomeranian.

Absolutely. We demand cute puppy pictures!

What breed of puppy are you getting?

I also went several years without a dog; I'm so glad I got another when I did.

How much damage does a puppy do 1d2? With special attacks against shoes?

We rescued a 4 week-old beagle puppy who's mother was run over by a car.

"Daisy" is now a precious, little twelve-week-old pup.

Y'know...it's nice to have some good news for a change (beyond the graduation, of course)...it seems like between the news and other places, it's been nothing but doom and gloom. There's nothing like a puppy to make us remember what's important.

Harpo Marx said it best in his rules for his family..."Anybody who mistreats a pet or breaks a pool cue is docked a month's pay."

I like dogs in theory. The whole constant search for validation they do gets old sometimes though. Despite that, I do keep a big ol' monster dog.

What kind of barker you getting?

Mix of a retriever and a border collie.

Sweet news Robert! Dogs rock. I have four myself, had five but old Cheyenne decided to get up and cross the bar last year!

Congrads!

To a DOG you're family, to a CAT you're staff.

Actually I like and have several of both. Best of luck with your new pup Tree.

A collie/retriever? In other words, a dog smart enough to steal whatever he or she likes, devious enough to almost guarantee never getting caught, and cute enough to get away with it anyway even if found out.

Enjoy your new puppy overlord.

I want a dog, but they can be pretty high maintenance. Cats are a little easy to take care of, which is why I have one.

That's true. Jas needs a lot of exercise every day, but I wouldn't be without him.

At least he's getting me fit. Well, fitter, anyway.

There may be more as she gets older, but she's getting accustomed to the new place, new sounds, and not having other puppies around...
