My wife got me an early Father's Day gift (since I'll be out of town next weekend... playing C&C actually). It was a big grill. Problem was, it came in parts and had to be assembled. So me and my son, he's 10, were putting it together. It has two wheels on the front so it can be rolled around, but we hadn't put the wheels on yet, which gave it a distinct backwards slant. My son looks at it and says, "Dad, is this thing leaning forward? Do we need to fix that?" I pointed out the wheels and said when we put them on, it would straighten up, but commended him on catching it.
He says, "So I guess I made my spot check?"

I can't top the building experience. But my 4 year old fell asleep tonight firmly clutching to M1 Bradleys. When I tried to take them out of his hand he balled up, clutching his armor.
Makes a pappa proud.
