To save myself some reading to find out, this is the same guy who has had this issue for a good while now, plus they don't have insurance coverage to help them, etc...? Take donations of items to turn around and sell on eBay, etc... to raise funds to pay their debt?

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
