Spreading the C&C Love At Gen Con

Post by zacharythefirst »

One of the things I'd like to do at Gen Con this year is burn the 2010 C&C Quick-Start rules onto CDs, put them in sleeves, and hand them out to gamers in my games, along with a notepad file with a link the the C&C Society and the TLG page.

Even though it's a free product, I still believe I need the Trolls' permission to do so. I've done this before with some products, and have had some good results. I can put some in the Press Room, and hand out the others in my games and seminars.

Assuming the Trolls say yes (and if they read this, please feel free to say yes and bring more Crusading to Gen Con), do you think there's anything else official-like I should put on the CD?

Zach - I also think you should make sure and live blog from one of the C&C society tourney tables during Fri or Sat. if you can -

Piperdog on these forums is running those with his brother - they are on the official sched of course.

Good idea for CDs - can't speak for the Trolls but I think it's a good idea.

Saturday is full, but I plan to make my way over there on Friday if at all possible and get some shots. I wish I could have participated this year--I have a group I think could win it, but my trash talk will have to wait one more year.

Might be best to call Steve about it. Maybe they can provide some images to use as well, for the sleeve and CD. I know they used to be big into the CD format of things...

That's what I was thinking. I'll give 'em a call this week on it.

Zach, feel free to stop by the tourney! If you're up for some off the grid gaming, we are looking at hooking up with others to thrown down some C&C at a moments notice.

Oh yeah. I was going to say that as far as "winning" the tourney, everyone pretty much wins there. While there is an official winner of course, the tourney side of things is very loose, with the event run more role-playing intensive than most. Points are actually allocated to players who play their characters!

So, that being said, enquiring minds want to know...who won?

Agreed, it was extremely cool to meet you all, and a freaking blast to play with yas, too!

(Uhm, +1 on the Who Won question, too. )

Playing C&C with Angelius and ArgoForg was awesome. What a great bunch of guys, and the game was pretty damn good too. I'm just sorry I couldn't stick it out the whole 5 hours (damn GenCon scheduling!)

... And finally getting to meet Angelius in person after at least 3 years of chatting on MBs, that was good times. Stay away from the pankrationist and his buddy. He'll keel you good.
